How do I find a program or service in my region?

  • Then select your region from the drop-down menu, or enter your town or search criteria in the fields. Or you can browse all of the listings by selecting “All.” You can always search the entire site using the Search box at the top of each page of the website.
  • The listings that show in the results can be viewed by clicking on the arrow  to the left of each heading, the “View this listing” link, or the “(more)” link.
  • You can also visit the HRLE and Service Canada page for links to programs, services and other resources from the provincial and federal governments that may be available to you.

Are all of the programs and services in the listings on the Work Well NL website specifically for people with a mental illness?

No. The services and resources on Work Well NL can support people in general who may be looking for information and direction in these areas, or who are facing barriers to finishing or pursuing education, and/or finding and maintaining employment. Mental illness or mental health issues can pose barriers for some people, but not all people with mental illness need or are interested in support in these areas. However, there are some programs and services which are geared specifically toward people with mental illness.

Why do some organizations not have listings on this site?

At the time of launching the website, some organizations had not responded to our requests for information. We have tried to collect as much information on related programs and services from all throughout the province, but at this time, there may be some programs and services missing, or only limited details for other listings. There were also some organizations who were not identified during the early phases of the information collection process, but we are now working on getting their information for the website.

Why are there only a few programs or services listed in my region of the province?

There are a couple of reasons: some regions of Newfoundland and Labrador may have limited programming in these areas, and some organizations in these regions did not respond to requests for information on their programs and services. Additionally, there were also some organizations who were not identified during the early phases of the information collection process, but we are now working on getting their information for the website.
